Startup Idea: Real-Time In-Store Shoe Feedback Software

Summary for idea #303
Startup idea to develop a software that enables real-time customer feedback in shoe stores. The software would be installed on touch screens at each aisle, letting customers rate and review the footwear they try out. This immediate feedback can guide other customers' shopping decisions and provide the store with valuable market data.

I work at a shoe store, which offers comfortable shoes for men and women. A big portion of sales come from golf shoes.

One of the main issues we face is the lack of real time feedback that can be used in future decision making. The only option right now is for people to go online and access a particular product, then leave feedback.

While it is still a route for people to express their experience with a product, most people would not spend the time to do so. If there was a software that's installed at the store and perhaps connected to each of the shoe aisles.

Customers can try a pair of shoes and if they have some feedback they'd like to provide (too narrow, too heavy for walking, great traction for golf etc), they can quickly use the touch screens installed to find the product and provide a quick feedback.

Customers would then walk into the store and if by looking at a monitor in each isle can see previous feedback. If a customer sees low feedback for a particular shoe due to narrow shoe box, they can skip for something else.

At the same time, good feedback can boost a customer's confidence and literally close a sale. I will be willing to pay for software featuring these capabilities and believe it would be worth the investment.

I searched for 'real time feedback software'. Right now customers have to try each shoe which after a while may build frustration.
