Startup Idea: Efficient Event Management System for Rodeos and Races
I am a secretary for various types of events. I run my own barrel races, secretary team ropings, junior rodeos, ranch rodeos and regular rodeos. I have run all of these using my Excel software, but I keep having to tweak different things to get it to do what I need. Nothing I have found will let me keep up with who has paid and who hasn't. I have a lot of team ropers that sign themselves and a friend up, but only pay for themself. Some people will prepay for the next night and I have to keep track of it all. I need software that will do the draw, tell me the payout (let me adjust the payout for each different event), tell me who has paid and how much (how much they owe would be great too), have all events in one application so I don't have to buy or download a lot of different ones) and let me see the the scores to beat. I have tried on my own. Rodeo software and barrel racing software. I do the calculations manually using paper, pencil and Excel. There are some similar ones out there, but they don't do everything I need and they are expensive. I don't do them often enough to pay a lot for them and some let you do a limited trial, but the only way to see if it really covers everything is to try it during an actual event and if you have more than 10 teams or people in the event then you can't use it to try it out. There needs to just be a time limit trial.
