Startup Idea: Creation of a YARA and Snort to REGEX Translator Tool

Startup idea to develop a software solution that accurately translates YARA and Snort rules into efficient regular expressions (regex). The tool would automatize and optimize the process of generating regex in the network security field, particularly involving intrusion detection and prevention.

I work in the network security field. I mainly deal with creating and implementing signatures on intrusion detection/prevention devices. In some instances I will need to capture the intent of a snort or yara rule by using regex. If there was a product that could accurately translate yara and snort into efficient regex it would be greatly beneficial. I have not been able to find a solution such as this. I wrote a script to solve the problem however the script could be fine tuned since it does not create the most efficient regex possible.
