I am a partner at a small (25 employee ad agency). Over the years, we have developed a process for managing billing and accounting for the business but it involves a mix of spreadsheets, and other documents to track client jobs, expenses and tie them back to billing and invoicing through Quickbooks.

The ideal solution would be a job tracking system with the ability to track employee hours worked on a specific projects, coupled with the ability to tie hard costs such as media expenditures to those projects. This should all have the ability to generate invoices on various schedules as outlined in the POs and SOWs used.

High level reporting showing gross margin and profitability per project and client would be essential. Yes, I've searched for agency accounting system and a few related terms.
