Startup Idea: Software for Navigating Facebook Audience Builder for POD Market
I am digital content director for or a growing firm employing just about a dozen people. We specialize in marketing items for the burgeoning billion dollar print on demand (POD) market.
This is an industry where people order a T-shirt or mug (typically, more products are being added on a regular basis) that have a clever saying or interesting graphics. They are not actually produced until someone pays and hits the submit button, so they are in essence a slow-mo version of 3d printing (which is already slow-mo enough!).
The way most of these items are sold is through FB ads. This is entirely a DIGITAL business which developed in fits and starts, and in a herky-jerky fashion with all kinds of delivery issues and fulfillment problems.
A typical seller must concoct the idea, create a mock up, develop an ad and navigate through Facebook's ever changing, often complex and quite byzantine marketing demo filters to find the right audience. One great need is for software to help navigate the Facebook Audience Builder set up.
Although FB adjusts your audience over time via their notorious 'pixel' technology, there's still a steep learning curve for those venturing into this field for the first time.
It's a huge business and, as I said, FB is always changing things up which would necessitate updates thus more income for an industry leader in this space.
I am a member of MANY FB ad groups. This is a common issue and most rely on each other for (as you might guess) conflicting and contradictory advice!
