Startup Idea: TheRoots - Advanced Gardening Guide & Calculator App

Startup idea to develop a smart mobile application called 'TheRoots' aimed at helping gardeners take better care of their plants. It will use local weather data and calculate the optimal nutrients needed for plants based on varying conditions such as rainfall, sunlight, temperature and season.

I am a recent undergrad graduate with a degree in Marketing, and a minor in Communications. I currently am pursuing employment in sales. I have a background with Management info Systems and LeanSixSigma. As a marketer, I understand that certain information is given out with products, and some is a little harder to find. But with increasing information, product satisfaction increases.

I feel that on most days I am unsure of whether or not I am gardening my plants with appropriate care for different temperatures and humidity percentages. I know what the seed pamphlets tell me, but between the very general information and online complicated information, I feel lost.

As a gardener I need a calculator, or algorithm that can predict what nutrients in what proportions I need based on rainfall, sunlight, temperature, and season. I'd call it "TheRoots!" Please contact me if you feel this idea is wonderful, I have many more!You could code this for both android and ios, and you could pull data from local weather using location services. The only extra step would be to program a formula in to figure out the metrics. No I actually haven't I'm just winging my gardening right now.
