Startup Idea: Comprehensive Budgeting and Investment Forecasting App

Summary for idea #3084
Startup idea to develop a budgeting app that aggregates all sources of income, categorize and forecast them for future years. This app performs yearly averages and allows users to see potential savings and gains if those funds are invested, with a comparison feature to show household income averages and potential compound interest gains.

I need a budgeting app that could combine all my sources of income, and then allow me to break them up into categories that can be forecasted into the future for the year. Like if I spend $XXX.XX per month on groceries in January, it'll assume that much for the year, and total it up for me so I can budget. Then it would take each year and average them out, so I would have a much better idea of how much I'm averaging.

It would also allow me to see what would happen if I saved and invested that money instead, so it would take a median from the board of labor statistics or something about what the average household is spending, and let me see how much better or worse I'm doing than the average, and would take that difference and show me if I invested it instead, with compound interest, how much money I could have so many years down the road.

It would be a great motivator to spend less, save more, and give me an idea of where I really should be valuing my time and money. I've looked into Mint and You Need A Budget, but I'm not impressed with either that much. Right now I just try to create a spreadsheet, but it's clunky and ugly.
