I work in the technology industry for a large bank and one of the issues I have is when working in a team environment. While working on the project there are four key people, the clients, the Engineer, the Infrastructure designer, and the Project Manager. Right now, most project do a weekly meeting for status and updates as well as instant messaging and sending emails to each other with questions for updates or how-to's. I think the bank would pay (or at least each department) would pay for a tool that allows these four individuals to access a single site or program when they want updates on the project. The four individuals would log any project activity such as submitted BigIP form for processing, and then if the Project Manager or client wanted to know the status, they could log into the one application/site for an update. This would cut down on time for both the individual needing the update as well as the person who must stop what they're doing an respond. I have asked people within the bank since all technology must be approved, but they currently don't use anything like this.
