Startup Idea: Automated Communication and Management System for Political and Social Groups

Startup idea to develop a communication management software that automatically categorizes and responds to incoming requests to an organization. This system will route individuals to specific sections based on their interests or queries, send them relevant information and guide them into specific communication channels. The system can also grant permissions to various documents and auto-generate emails when permissions are granted.

I help organize for a national political organization (similar to #metoo) where we are constantly contacted by grassroots volunteers, political campaigns, media, etc. through several channels (facebook, our website, email, twitter, etc.). These people need to be categorized based on what information they need and then connected to small groups within the organization. For example, if I send a facebook message to the group page saying that I would like to help with media relations and organizing in a certain state, I need to be routed to the state director, sent information about local media, sent national PR guidelines, and then added to a communication group (like slack) with others in my state or doing PR/organizing. Currently, political organizations handle this with massive spreadsheets but they can be automated so that if permissions are given in certain groups, emails are automatically sent out with the relevant information or to the relevant party.

This is not restricted to political organization. I am also a member of many local social groups/service organizations (all with paid membership and budgets) that need to be able to organize people on permission or grant permissions to various documents through a single member spreadsheet or dashboard. Have found organizers that help but don't auto-generate emails when permissions are granted. This is the key because you can make sure that everyone gets the same information (slack login, guidelines, etc) as soon as they are added to a committee or group.
