Startup Idea: Steel Manufacturing Inventory Management Software

Startup idea to design a comprehensive inventory management software, specializing in automated drop-counting and segregation of unused materials, adapted to the needs of the growing steel tubing and bar industry.

I work in the steel tubing and bar industry (primarily rounds). As our company continues to grow (its seen expansion in the recent years) we continue to have issues tracking inventory. We have systems of software, but there is a very poor ability to track multiple facets of the business.

1-inventory-specifically automated drop counting, as we process and cut materials, we make deductions to the inventory, but unused portions of full length materials go unused and there is not a good way to segregate the unused portions from original full length material.

Software would need to have a full manufacturing systems capability, or at least a modification that could be added to any manufacturing capability.

Our company would possible pay for the software.
