Startup Idea: AR Based Plumbing Solution Assistant

Startup idea to develop an Augmented Reality (AR) based software that empowers individuals within the brassware industry by allowing them to take a picture of a plumbing fixture and receive crucial details such as its make, possible problems, upgrade requirements, and links to purchase spare parts.

I work in the brassware industry.

The industry as a whole is booming and growth is steady which has created a clash of two worlds, the business word - up to date, online and highly computerized, and the trade world, plumbers and engineers.

Whilst there are resources for the business side to handle issues like troubleshooting a leak, or knowing how to specify products together, it is far from advanced.

In a world were everything can be found online or an app, you still need to pay £120/hour for a plumber to do a simple task, because there is not enough knowledge available about it.

The software that I imagine is one where you can take a picture of a fixing (shower, tap, basin..) and it identifies what is and from what make, and gives you different options of problems that it could have, upgrades that might be required or a link to the spare parts and where to buy them.
