i am a professional studio musician that has worked in the industry for 20 years. i run across untrained musicians in the studio all the time. mostly guys who are self taught and got a record deal.

when working with them on arrangements and song structure, they have a had time figuring out the key of a song and the corresponding scales that go with them. having an app that could recognize song keys and suggest scales to play with them would be a huge a time and money saver.
