Startup Idea: Software Development Idea to Plan Sustainable Farming

Startup idea to develop a comprehensive and easy-to-use application for sustainable farmers that catalogs a wide range of fruits and vegetables, their ideal growing seasons, spacing needs, and visualizes these on a farm layout. The software aims to keep things uncomplicated while providing precise information catering to organic, sustainable, and local farm planning needs.

I am a sustainable farmer. There is software that can help plan out planting and different aspects of farming, but none take into account that methods used by sustainable farmers include a very wide assortment of vegetables and fruits. Just having "lettuce" doesn't work, there are dozens of types. It's not an infinite number but it's a lot.

A useful program would have all varieties available, the season ot grows best in and, using a grow zone. It would need to have the spacing needed to plant each type (4" or 1' for example) and a visual layout using the dimension of the land.

Probably one of the best current examples would be the program sold by Mother Earth News, it works bit it's annoying to have to research the differences between types of veggies/fruits that we market, they do have differences in season and zone.

Many of these peograms get a bit too specialized. It would be refreshing to see a simple single purpose program that could fulfill these functions. Yes. Sustainable farm planner. Local farm planner. Organic farm planner. and each of those with the term "program".
