Startup Idea: Improved Window Shade Feature for Mac OS

Summary for idea #3350
Startup idea to develop a well-integrated and efficient window shade plugin/app for the Mac OS. Aim is to enhance desktop workspace usability, especially for users who prefer to 'window shade' their apps rather than having to minimize or utilize tabbed windows. The software should work seamlessly within the Mac OS without the need for separate application openings.

I am a self-employed at-home graphic and web designer using a Mac. They used to have a "window shade" feature built into the Mac OS, but they got rid of it a few years back. Ever since they got rid of it, my computer desktop workspace efficiency and ease of use has decreased, because I don't like using the minimize button on windows, I prefer to "window shade" them so I can see how many I have open and easily expand or collapse them with the window shade function.

There was a company that had an app/plugin for macs a while back that could be added into the Mac user interface, but they did not keep up with software updates and it is no longer available.

It makes me crazy having multiple (like 5-10 windows) open without being able to window shade them. I have not found a good window shade app that a user can add into the Mac OS system without having to open and close a separate app. There is one called Windowmizer but it has bugs and is a separate app.

Yes, I would definitely pay for software to do this, probably $20 or more just to be able to windowshade again and not have to open a separate app to use it. I bet a lot of old time Mac users like me would be willing to pay for it also and it would probably sell really well. It's something I think about how I wish I had it everytime I use my mac, even right now as I type this I have 6 windows open and don't have them windowshaded because even though I have it, I dont like the Windowmizer app.

It would totally solve the problem of having multiple windows open, having to use a separate clunky buggy app to windowshade, and would just make me a happy camper and speed up my computer desktop efficiency. :). Yes, I found the "WindowMizer" app and use it but I don't like it because it is a separate app and doesnt integrate into the Mac OS.

Unsanity made one called "WindowShade X for Mac" but they discontinued it in 2010 :(.
