Unpleasant as it is, I worked at a magazine trying to get people to respond to an annual survey we did, and not responding to our calls was consistent enough that some kind of calling software would have been useful. Maybe a kind of blend of spreadsheet/call-log where you could just click on somebody's name and it would link to a sort of Skype thing, call them automatically, maybe use the robo-call process. I sense there is some kind of Robo-call software being used these days, but I don't know what it is, nor whether it caters to people who may not necessarily be cold-calling, but just have a list of people they're trying to get in touch with, but those people are very busy and tend not to answer. I was using a normal phone-line, and didn't find software.
