Startup Idea: Invoice Tracking and Reminder System for Freelancers

Startup idea to develop a software that mitigates the problem of chasing late payments for freelancers. The software would track the sent invoices via Gmail, remind the user about late invoices and optionally send an automatic email reminder to the client.

I have worked as a freelancer over the last several years. One of the biggest challenges is chasing after unpaid invoices. I have had clients take over 6 months to pay for finished work!

I have a very good system for creating and sending invoices (I use a Word template). What I don't have is a program that keeps track of late invoices automatically, and either sends a nudge to me (this is 15 / 30 / 60 / 90 days late) or sends it to the client.

I would love a program that can interface with my Google Gmail account to track when the invoice is sent, and then send a nudge to me at set intervals, with the option to send an automatic email reminder to the client.
