Startup Idea: Parking Aid Mobile App Startup Idea

Startup idea to develop a location-based parking aid app. The app would enable users to post reviews about parking spots, mark the location of parking officers, track their parking duration and locate their parked cars. It aims to help users avoid parking tickets, optimize parking time and identify their car's location easily.

Currently, I'm a student at a public university. I spend time commuting, using public parking, and know what parking is like not only on a busy campus but in a big city. A big pain I have is parking and getting tickets.

I would benefit immensely from a local parking app. The app would need developers who can write software and allow fellow community members to post reviews on where the best place to park is and how often meter maids check cars. Most helpful would be the ability to sight a meter maid, like how in the app Waze, app users can mark the location of a cop. In a parking app, live users could geo-mark where a meter maid may be ticketing cars. This would allow the app user to get a notification when a parking maid is nearby, and alert them so the user can move their car. It wouldn't be illegal but would save people money.

This app could also track how long you're parked and estimate when you should start walking back to your car. You could even track your car, and put a pin on the map of where you parked so you're not looking for long.

This app would require software and a knowledge of how to make an itunes app.
