Startup Idea: Unified HR Software Access

Summary for idea #3437
Startup idea to create a centralized system that manages and syncs passwords for multiple HR softwares within an organization. The system would allow users to access all HR services with one single login, while maintaining unique passwords for each of the softwares. This would streamline HR related tasks and enhance security.

Right now I work in an health insurance organization that uses multiple types of software to access certain human resources related tasks. For example, if I want to look at my time sheet, I have to login to one type of proprietary software. If I want to view my w-2 or paystub, I have to login to a completely different type of software. All told, there are approximately 4 different human resources related softwares that the company I work for uses. They are:

#1) Time sheet #2) Pay related #3) Retirement and retirement contributions related #4) Health and Life insurance benefits

The organization that I work for claims that they only need minimal Human Resources staff that because each of these systems are set up online. This is false.

This presents a unique problem, each software has its own password and login. Furthermore, because the providing systems all require tight security, each respective system requires their passwords to be reset at different periods.

We have looked into developing a generalized system that can place all of these services in one portal, but that requires someone to build a customized portal from JAVA code, and is further reliant on each of the providers not to change anything.

A solution that I had thought of was a service that allows you to change all of your passwords simultaneously once a month. The idea would for your company to build a system that allows the central user to have enter only one login to your company, and then your company enters, updates, or resets unique passwords for each of the systems.

This way each of the 4 systems would have a unique password, while the user would only have to remember the 1 password to your system.
