Startup Idea: Tor Server Detection Software for Gaming

Startup idea to develop a software capable of detecting and tracing back accounts made via a Tor server. The gaming industry needs a solution to identify players creating multiple accounts using proxies, vpns or Tor access for fraudulent activities.

I work as volunteer staff for a gaming board.

We have an ongoing problem with players creating multiple accounts by using proxies, vpns or tor access. Since players are only allowed one account to prevent cheating with their characters helping each other, this is a very serious problem for us.

Our computer programming staff have attempted to find ways to distinguish multiple accounts from single, legitimate, accounts and have made a little progress but so far they have no way of detecting if an account is made via a tor server.

So, we could use a new software program which can determine if a new account application is coming to us via a tor server. Even better would be for the software to determine a tor is being used and then trace through the tor scrambling network to determine the original ip address of the player applicant.

Our game would pay for software such as this because it would save us a great deal of time and energy as well as better protect our game from cheaters.
