i work in the music industry as a studio musician,specifically a guitarist. having software or an app that could identify the key of a song and suggest proper scales and chord progressions to play along with it would be great. this would hasten and simplify the writing process when dealing with less technical and educated musicians. it would also be a quick reference resource for advanced and experienced players. its near impossible to remember all of the scale modes and progressions in every key. i would certainly be willing to pay for this.
