Startup Idea: Augmented Reality Software for Historical Site Reconstruction

Startup idea to create an augmented reality software that can overlay historical artistic representations of what buildings and structures looked like in the past on the ruins, for a better educational experience at historical sites.

I work in a historical site. Part of my job is to explain what the ruins looked like in the past, but due to degradation, and certain areas being completely destroyed over time, it is quite hard to imagine. We can't build structures because it would be costly and not historically accurate. I would like a software with augmented reality, like 'Pokemon Go', that will overlay our historical artistic representation of what buildings and structures looked like in the past. Patrons would use their phone, aim it at the ruins, and be able to tell our best theory of what it looked like. We would pay for this service, since more people are likely to visit.
