Startup Idea: Photography Middleman Software Solution

Startup idea to develop a software platform acting as an intermediary between photographers and clients, facilitating bookings, contracts, and payments similar to platforms like Airbnb or Amazon Turk. The aim is to mitigate risks like potential lawsuits and stress related to inadequate contracts or fraudulent activities in the photography industry, particularly geared towards the portrait industry.

I am a photographer and deal with booking clients, signing contracts and billing clients for payment, including a deposit up front and charging for the sitting fee, prints, albums etc after the shoot.

If there was a software, much like amazon turk, airbnb, etc that acts like the middleman between the photographer and the client, that would remove so much of a headache for myself as a photographer.

The client could pay the money to this service, who will hold it and release it after the photos are taken and the client is satisfied with their photos.

There are many lawsuits in the photography industry stemming from inadequate contract, shady clients or photographers and this could help to reduce the risk of lawsuits and stress for all parties involved.

Currently, there are website that hook up photographers as freelancers with commercial business, but not for the portrait industry, which is a huge industry. Thanks and good luck with your work!
