Startup Idea: Real-Time Material Cost Tracking Software for Job Bids

Startup idea to develop a software that provides real-time updates on the costs of materials required for placing bids in a high voltage electrical company. The software aims to save time spent on sourcing current prices from various suppliers and enhance the accuracy of bids.

At my job I place bids for jobs at a high voltage electrical company. With the ever rising and falling of parts that are required to do the job, I find myself searching through online websites and calling direct suppliers to find our current prices before I can put in a accurate bid. A program that would be very useful would be one that tracked the costs of materials constantly so the price on the day I am looking at plans or placing my bid would be the most accurate. This type of software would save me at least 2-3 hours a day allowing me to put more bids in and even have time to help implement our installations. I would consider paying for a program like this if it was reasonably priced.
