Startup Idea: Lab Notebook Digitization Software Development

Startup idea to develop a software solution that simplifies and digitizes the process of tracking and managing scientific experiment details which would otherwise be manually entered in Excel. The software should cater to specific categorization needs that are not met by traditional database software or Excel.

I work in scientific research. One problem we have is that we have to enter all of the details for experiments in Excel. We need to include basic experiment details plus the address for the raw data. It would be really nice to have software that makes experiment tracker easier, because Excel doesn't work for our categories. Database software doesn't work as well either.

Basically I am looking for a lab notebook digitization software.
