Startup idea to create a software for a more flexible work environment. This software would calculate computer times and deliver time reports to employers, including pay-as-you-go options where employees are only paid for the time they've worked. A mobile app could also send notifications to employers if remote employees don't clock in, offering partial or full telecommuting opportunities for employees across varied industries.

I work in administration in a construction industry.

My industry has had the same business model for essentially the past 100 years. Make product (i.e. asphalt), use manual labor to lay it down. While the model hasn't changed, the way administrative functions are performed is vastly different than 100 years ago. I want to be able to work from home, but can't seem to convince my employer that it's feasible (this is not due to network securities as I can access 90% of my work from the internet). I wish there were a software for work at homes in all industries that calculates computer times and can send time reports to an employer, including options for pay-as-you-go where employees only get paid for clocked time. This would be valuable for many people in many industries looking to leave the office grind for a more flexible environment while still being able to complete the same type of work. Employers would benefit from seeing hard numbers and statistics on having an employee work at home either partially or full time. the software could also be made into a mobile app where employers get notifications if employees working from home don't get clocked in and summaries of days with no work.
