Startup Idea: Sales Notification Software for Auto Dealerships

Startup idea to develop a software that links a car dealership's service appointment system with their customer database. When a customer arrives for a service, it would notify the corresponding salesperson with the customer's details and the reason for their visit, offering potential sales opportunities.

I work in auto sales. Often times we are able to see when our guests arrive at our service department but are unable to plan a possible sale because we are caught off guard.

The more guests we have, it is also difficult to predict when any particular guest may arrive and what he/she may need. What would be wonderful is a system that would link our service appointment system with our current customer database in a manner that would notify the corresponding salesperson of a guest's arrival.

This software would need to be able to give the salesperson the guest name along with the reason of their service visit and the details on their vehicle so that salespeople have the opportunity to present to the guest a trade in.

Ideally, the software would allow us to maximize our sales potential as we can catch people at prime opportunities for trade and perhaps even earn the business of guests who would have otherwise not thought about trading.
