Startup Idea: Application for Real-Time Brewery Occupancy Reporting

Summary for idea #366
Startup idea to develop an application that calculates and displays real-time information on a brewery's occupancy and waiting times. This would be based on data from the brewery's POS system, which registers drink and food orders, and the available tables and chair spaces. It aims to save guests, employees time and improve customer experience.

I work for a small craft brewery in Los Angeles county. LA county has recently had a craft beer boom and hundreds of breweries are now open in the area.

Our brewery is small and fills up quickly, and folks very frequently call to ask how busy it is. We would love an application or software that our patrons could log onto in order to tell them how busy it is, instead of needing to call.

We use a POS system to ring up drinks and food for purchase, and we thought that perhaps that could be of use in developing the application or software.

Perhaps the software could use the information about how many drinks or orders were input and crunch the numbers based on how many tables and chairs are available in the room. It could then hopefully do the math on how much space there was available or even on how long the wait is for drinks or food.

It would be much easier for patrons to log on to a software or app instead of calling the brewery and taking the bartenders away from the guests. We would be willing to pay for a software of this nature.
