Startup Idea: Streamlined 1099 Generation Tool

Startup idea to develop a software that simplifies the process of generating 1099's by accumulating all outgoing monetary data and highlighting missing information prior to printing. The software would also consolidate duplicate people/businesses, auto-calculating totals, reducing the chances of human error.

I am a retired administrative assistant. One of my responsibilities was to generate 1099's to those we did business with.

There was a lot of research that had to go in to generating these. I think it would be helpful to have 1 schedule that would have all of the outgoing monies listed.

This program would highlight missing information BEFORE getting to the point of printing, it would take the guesswork out of wondering if this business should or should not receive a 1099, it would automatically merge people/businesses that are the same with the correct monetary amounts. I did look for solutions with quickbooks.

This was not an option with them.

I solved the problem by having to look at multiple schedules and compare them to their files and then manually add totals with my calculator (which leaves room for human error). A task that could have taken a few hours ended up taking me 3 weeks.
