Startup Idea: Application for Easy Desktop Management

Startup idea to develop an application that enables professionals to manage multiple open programs and documents more efficiently. This software would provide a sidebar feature on the desktop, listing all open items for quick and easy access all in one place.

I work in marketing. My computer runs a Microsoft operating system. I regularly have several programs running at one time, and several documents/spreadsheets, etc., open on each program. For example, at any one time I might be working with 3 Word docs, 2 PowerPoint programs, four e-mails, 2 PDFs, three Excel spread sheets and four Google tabs. It would be great if there were a sidebar on the side of my computer screen listing all programs and documents I have open. As it is now, I have to, say, go to the bottom of my screen, hover over the PowerPoint icon, see which already-open file I need to access, and click on that file. The sidebar I envision would make every file now open available to me with one click. Everything is listed on the sidebar -- I just need to click to bring the file I want on-screen. No.
