Startup Idea: Software for Streamlined Photographer-Client Relationship Management

Startup idea to develop a service, similar to Airbnb or Amazon Turk, that acts as an intermediary between photographers and clients. The platform would handle bookings, contracts, and payments, holding funds until the job is complete and the client is satisfied. This could significantly reduce stress and the risk of lawsuits in the portrait photography industry.

I am a photographer and deal with booking clients, signing contracts and billing clients for payment, including a deposit up front and charging for the sitting fee, prints, albums etc after the shoot.

If there was a software, much like amazon turk, airbnb, etc that acts like the middleman between the photographer and the client, that would remove so much of a headache for myself as a photographer. The client could pay the money to this service, who will hold it and release it after the photos are taken and the client is satisfied with their photos.

There are many lawsuits in the photography industry stemming from inadequate contract, shady clients or photographers and this could help to reduce the risk of lawsuits and stress for all parties involved.

Currently, there are website that hook up photographers as freelancers with commercial business, but not for the portrait industry, which is a huge industry.
