Startup Idea: Desktop and Cloud-Based Phone Contact Backup Software

Startup idea to develop software that simplifies the task of transferring contacts from an old mobile device to a new one. This program would allow users to back up their phone contacts to their desktop or the cloud, ensuring easy retrieval and transfer to a new phone when necessary.

So I've had to buy a new cell phone 3 times this year. and every time i have to go in and manually load in my phone book. this literally takes hours. in 1 case, the phone was ruined, and the numbers unrecoverable. But a simple(i think) program to transfer info from my phone to a desktop to the new phone would fix that. you could even make it so you could backup your phone to your desktop or the cloud so if the info was gone you would still have a copy. who hasn't lost the # of somebody close due to a busted phone?. I've googled back up your phone numbers a couple of times with no luck. verizon offered to do a transfer if i left both phones with them for 72 hours, but do you really want to leave your personal info and photos with a stranger for 3 days? I would prefer to do it from my desktop at home.
