Startup Idea: Unified Financial Data Import Tool for Multi-Bank / Brokerage Account Tax Filing

Startup idea to develop a software solution that enables users to import financial data from diverse bank and brokerage accounts into tax filing software. This tool will standardize and streamline the import process and help reduce user confusion stemming from non-standard CSV/Excel files.

A software solution that integrates information from different bank and brokerage accounts for tax filing.

Many tax software like Taxact etc allow users to import data from some banks and brokerage accounts directly using DCIN. However, they require users to download CSV/Excel files from other banks that haven’t signed up. Such CSV files may be non-standard and users get confused.

A tool or online service that can enable users to import data from their registered online accounts and consolidate them before they can upload it to Taxact will be really useful. I have tried to download my own data and used them while preparing tax returns on taxact.
