Startup Idea: Nutritional Tracking Software for Special Needs Diets

Startup idea to develop a nutrition tracking software that simplifies the meal management and dietary calculations for children with chronic illnesses. The software would allow the user to input foods, calculate the nutritional content including vitamins and minerals, and automatically adjust feeding tube formulas based on the consumed food items.

I am a homemaker. I have three kids, one 3 year old that has a chronic illness, and a adopted 10 year old girl, and an adopted 12 year old girl.

A software that I would be interested in is one that would help with my 3 year old. I have to track everything that he eats or drinks.

I measure in grams, calories, and then I have to make sure he is getting all the vitamins, or anything that he may need.

When he doesn't receive every gram of a mineral, or vitamin, then I have to do a BUNCH of math to figure out how many grams of a feeding tube formula i need to give him.

It would be great if I could just put in what he is eating like "toast" and it just tells me what he got instead of having to look at each ingredient and doing the math.

YES! I would pay for this software. There are many people with GI problems that have to constantly watch what they eat.
