Startup Idea: Industrial Manufacturing Digitalization Software

Startup idea to develop software that can digitize and centralize the data record-keeping process in an electronics manufacturing company. The platform should input, store, and track all key information related to goods, their production, and quality details, making this information accessible across all departments and on hand-held devices.

I work in an Electronics manufacturing company and have been there for 4 years. I am an Engineer I there and I am mostly concerned with support quality engineer. I deal with the materials that come in and the products we sell after production.

Going back and forth to the different laboratories and departments is part of my daily job. Every day, I check for the information of goods from the supplier; in production, amount of rejected goods, amount of produced goods, defective products, performance or ratio or percentage during the tests that the products undergo, the problems encountered, etc. Unfortunately, all this information are listed onto paper by pen, and need to be transferred (carried) on paper to different departments when needed for approval from certain individuals. It is very hard to track down everything that is necessary when it is just on paper.

The ideal solution is for everything to be encoded or inputted into a computer, where all the departments concerned have access to. It will be a database of sort, and will be very useful if it can be also accessed on handheld devices.

It would be so much easier and accurate if it were to be in a database. This would be such a valuable upgrade, and will be such a good improvement for the company. It may save valuable resources like time and money.
