Startup Idea: Scheduling App for Changing Work Times

Startup idea to develop a software solution for people with frequently changing work schedules. The app would deliver weekly schedules directly from the company to the individual, eliminating confusion and forgotten shift times. The system should be simple to implement from the company perspective to overcome objections related to cost or setup difficulty.

I work in the retail industry but I believe my solution to a common problem could benefit people in a lot of different fields.

I have a schedule that changes quite often and sometimes I forget what time I am supposed to come into work. I have always felt that this issue could be better addressed by creating a software I could use at home to check what time I am supposed to clock in at work.

I would be willing to pay a dollar or two to fix this problem if an app could deliver me my weekly schedule straight from the company with no other effort required on my part.

Basically, if my company used an app that would send my schedule directly to me at the start of the week then I wouldn't have to write down my entire schedule and risk losing it and looking foolish calling in to ask what time I'm working. I have looked online and a few solutions do exist. I tried looking up scheduling apps. Normally I just call a friend and ask if they remember the schedule. I have asked my employer about their ability to use software that could manage the issue better but they say that it would be difficult to set up, or possibly cost them money they are not willing to spend.
