Startup Idea: Transparent Pricing Platform for Food Ingredient Sourcing for Startups

Startup idea to develop a software platform for food product startups that provides access to transparent pricing, directly connects them with farmers and small food producers, and presents a clear, fair cost outlook for food ingredients.

I'm the founder of a food product startup. We're finalizing design now. The biggest obstacle was sourcing quality suppliers at FAIR prices. Finding food ingredients is one thing, figuring out what they truly cost and what they will cost in the future is a nightmare as the draconian suppliers seems to keep a tight lid on this information.

I would love access to transparent pricing. Would love access directly to farmers and small producers, not just the big guys. And again -- transparent pricing.

In my experience, the guys who state their pricing on their websites already are marking them up by 50% or more compared to other suppliers. Yes. I solved the problem by calling and haggling.
