Startup Idea: Automated Archiving and Organization Software for Broadcast Assets

Startup idea to develop software that streamlines the asset archival process for a television station. The system should be able to accept, classify according to project and manage post-edit XML data to optimize storage space.

I work as a Creative Director for a small television station in Amarillo, TX. I am constantly having problems with archival of our assets and materials, and need someone to provide a software solution that automates much of our process.

Ideally, I would like to see a system that accepts incoming assets, organizes them into the correct project, then handles the XML data post-edit to maximize space on our drives.
