Startup Idea: Upgrade and Enhance Corporate Selling Tools

Startup idea to develop contemporary and efficient selling tools for a billion-dollar corporate company. The current tools are outdated causing client relations issues. A seamless and modern selling system that aligns with competitor's level is needed.

I work in a corporate main office environment and while we are a billion dollar company we have selling tools that are extremely outdated compared to the competition. We have grown as a company from approximately 50 individuals within my department and within the past year have added 75 new positions. While this growth is great for the company we are held back by the current selling tools we have in place.

Unfortunately, we have integrated a new selling system called Sterling that has been updated multiple times with newer and what is supposed to be improved options; however, it has not been a seamless experience. There have been several IT issues when the weekly/monthly updates occur and various system issues when customer orders are being completed which cause issues for the employer using this system and most importantly the customer. This types of issues force our customers to the competition especially when they have consistently worked on upgrades to their selling tools that actually do the job accurately.

The best solution to this problem is to quickly begin researching other options such as those used by our competitors that will make our customers experience seamless. Without these types of tools in place we will continue to fall behind companies that are in our similar market which is not acceptable for us or the customers we serve.

It certainly will be helpful to survey our current employees that use these programs on a daily basis as well as our customers that deserve the very best interaction possible. The improvement of these current tools or a brand new system that interacts with our products will be pertinent to our success. We have began working on a solution such as meetings and surveys with our executive leadership. We have attempted to update this current system to the most recent format and even then we haven't solved the problem because even then there are errors that occur and new errors we had not seen in the past.
