Startup Idea: Cost Savings Tracking for Transportation and Logistics

Startup idea to develop a software solution that allows transportation and logistics personnel to track and document the cost savings they achieve by finding alternative, cost-effective options for goods shipment.

I work in the transportation and logistics department for my company. Currently I have no way to track the cost savings that I find for the company during the course of providing alternate options to a customer. For example I get asked to ship something overnight and it costs $7,500 but I present them a 2 day option for $3,500. I have no way to track that I have saved the company $4,000.

The Ideal solution would be a way to track the initial requests and associated costs and compare it to the final cost. I have tried to track this with excel.
