I work in the I.T field, and I have worked in computers in some form or another every since the early days.

I have seen so many types of computer software programs come and go, I cleaned out my garage a while back, and I noticed that the majority of the boxes were filled with old CD roms of software programs that were not around any more.

Thinking what a waist, and it would be brilliant if there was a software that could take old software and develop new software by using pieces of old programs and combining them to make new ones.

For example if you could take a old recording software and mix it with a video software, mixed with an old writing software, it could give a new outlook on ideas on how to do everyday task.

Take the best parts or coding from one old defunct program, and mix it with the best workings of another and possible create something new.

This may allow developers to see their own creative ideas by not having to start from scratch. You could even create a unique name for This technique of building programs. What would make it different is you would look for old thrift store programs that are not on the radar, not programs that a programmer has in his archive. The key here is to recycle old programs and take advantage of the time, effort, and ideas that the old coders/programmers invested. Yes I have, i have looked over a long period of time, and there is no one doing this in the manner in which I am referring.
