Startup Idea: Startup Idea for an Elderly Care Services Mileage Tracker

Startup idea to develop a software solution, either a mobile app or a device, intended to accurately track and record the mileage used by employees of a small elder assistance company for each service rendered. The tracked data can be automatically imported to the company's payroll for prompt reimbursement. The system should also allow employees to have easy access to their own mileage records for reference.

Currently I work for a small company that provides services to elderly people living on their own. We do grocery shopping for them, take them to appointments, basically any and all errands that need to be run, using our own vehicles.

The tracking system that is in place for this company, is not a system at all. We currently have to write down our starting miles and then our ending miles for each client, each and every trip we take. At the end of the week we turn in our stacks of miles to be reimbursed. A lot of times, because the office staff consists of 4 people, it takes quite a while to get that reimbursement back. Being able to have some kind of software, be it an app, or a device, to track our miles and have that loaded into a main account for payroll, would make my job more pleasurable, as well as allow me to be paid on time, and allow for a lot less paperwork for the office staff.

It would be nice if I could have access to my full record of mileage use, as to track for my own records, just in case there was an issue with my paycheck. No, I have yet to ever look for any kind of solution to the companies current paper system.
