Startup Idea: Orthopedic Patient Management And Billing System

Startup idea to develop a single platform that helps an orthopedic technician to manage patient records, accurately document services provided, control patient billing, and provide basic analytics for a better understanding of the hospital's patient flow and profit baseline. The system would also track patient accounts created via registration at the hospital.

I an orthopedic technician for a hospital that has increased the amount of patients seen in the past 5 years. During the increase, a lot of patients have broken bones and required a cast, surgery, and wound care.

Unfortunately, due to the disorganized process of documenting the patients cared for, I am finding it difficult to keep track and properly document the services provided. Plenty of the patients required interventional care and were not being accurately billed thus causing the hospital to lose money!

The ideal solution to this problem would be a single place to view and manage all of the patients we provided care to. A basic database that allows you to quickly and easily find and bill a patient would be the first step to make.

Of course basic analytics would be very helpful so that I could keep a close eye on our overall patient flow to track how much the hospital's baseline profit should be. It would also be helpful if it could keep track patient accounts created at the hospital via registration to control billing.
