Startup Idea: Oil and Gas Facility Inspection App

Startup idea to develop a mobile app that helps inspectors in the oil and gas industry collect and report data on facilities' condition. Features needed include photo upload option tied to inspection forms, navigable forms, different forms for different facility types, report sending over wifi or cell and safety alerts.

I work in the oil and gas industry. One of the ongoing issues we have is keeping up with facilities inspection.Facilities can include pipelines, oil storage and transload facilities, well heads, etc. Currently the data is collected by an inspector who goes to the site and fills in an Excel spread sheet. what we need is:

1. Photos of the facility tied to an inspection form that runs on a phone or tablet.
2. A form that is easy to navigate that outlines the facilities condition
3. Different forms for different types of facilities (i.e., the well head form might have a place for pressure, status, etc.)
4. The capability to send the report over wifi or cell to our main servers.
5. Mapping and work prioritization capabilities so the inspectors know which areas need to be covered on a particular day.
6. Safety features - if the inspector has reported to a site and there has beed no activity in a certain amount of time,a supervisor would be notified. We use spread sheets. Have looked for a solution but it is very specialized. Search terms might include "facility inspection, Oil and gas inspection software, etc.".
