Startup Idea: Digital Waiting List System for Restaurants

Startup idea to develop a digital solution that allows customers to add themselves to a restaurant's waiting list remotely. The system could also feature an in-house kiosk for customers to log their presence or join the waiting list.

My idea is for restaurants and food service. Many times in the course of my job that I have wish for a system that allowed the customer to be able to add themselves to a busy waiting list digitally.

I know my company that I work for is a Red Robin burgers and we have an app on an iPad device that lets the host or hostess update the wait times on the website but what if someone could add themselves to the wait list over the internet or from their phones on an app.

Also there could be a kiosk at the door for people to log themselves as present or to add themselves to the list too. I am not very good with technology.
