Startup Idea: Project Management Software for Retail and Commercial Casework Industry

Startup idea to develop a flexible and comprehensive project management software designed for the retail and commercial casework industry. The software would enable detailed monitoring of project status, incorporate a communication system, and ensure accountability among different departments. It would also feature override options and fail safes to prevent progress with incomplete information or documents.

Working in the retail and commercial casework industry, one of the most frustrating issues was acquiring all the necessary information and necessary documents to process the job/project.

The software that I am looking for will be a task master for achieving all that is necessary to process and complete the project with no interruptions for additional information or documentation.

The form would be flexible to the point that users can apply it to their specific process and operation. Tailor to suit.

Once the software or "forms" are set up to be specific to the organization then communication networks would need to be applied.

Different groups/departments have specific aspects of the job/project that they are responsible for. These specific assignments would also incorporate a communication system via text, message board or e-mail.

This notification system would continually prompt each group/department on the status of the entire project and indicators of what has been accomplished and what needs to be accomplished. This would be accomplished by tailoring the reports to give a complete and accurate status at a glance. No need for a lot of reading or analyzing a lot of data.

There would be a fail safe in place to prevent the job from progressing with limited or partial information and documents. In the event that this fail safe system needs to be bypassed then only persons, groups, or departments would have the authority to do so. There would be rules set up for this. The override would be documented as to who and why.

This software would recognize and spotlight all aspects of the job/project and provide accountability to the group/department and this in itself would help to expedite the job/project. We used a software called "salesforce" and it did help, but only to a point as anybody with any authority at all would just push the job/project through to a stopping point usually wasting time and money. The problem has not been solved as there is no accountability.
