Startup Idea: Universal Tracking Platform for Logistic Costs

Startup idea to develop a universal platform for large CPG firms that allows to display, compare, and analyze logistic costs from various business units and regions in a simple and efficient way. The platform should facilitate quick results comparisons, benchmarking, and identification of savings opportunities.

I work at a large CPG firm in the finance and accounting department. Specifically I work with our logistics group. While we have many tools and database systems (SAP, BW, Tableau, etc.), we do not have a standard single source platform that displays our logistic costs for each month in a simple, but informative way.

Ideally we would need a universal platform that displays our logistic results for all the business units within our firm as well as all the results from the different regions that our firm serves. In doing so we will be able to provide efficient and quick results comparisons, bench marking and identified savings opportunities.
