Startup Idea: Legal Document Management Software

Startup idea to develop a software that efficiently tracks and manages legal documents. The software will ensure that the Complaint, Answer, and Reply documents stay connected. It will also keep track of various document appendices and could potentially create the outlines of the key decisions. The aim is to replace the manual methods currently used by most lawyers.

I work as a judicial clerk in NJ.

One thing software could do, I think, is to keep much better track of legal documents. It could connect the Complaint, Answer, and Reply, and ensure that those documents stay together. Also, most of these documents have various appendixes. Software could also keep better track of those. Software might even be able to create the outlines of the document that a judge or clerk would use to make the decision, although some judges would be unnerved by this. Currently, some lawyers use hyperlinks in Word documents, but many just do it manually with tabs.
