Startup Idea: Startup Idea for a Task Management and Communication Solution for Music Businesses
I currently work for a company that does private music lessons and sells music related products like instruments and accessories.
We also do instrument rentals and we have various ensembles and programs in the area. We currently have 2 employees and the owner who work in the office from 10-9 Monday - Friday. Both the employees are only part time.
We have a major issue with communication on the various parts of the business that occur every day. Because we have so many different pieces to the business, it is hard to keep everything organized so we are all on the same page.
The solution would be to have an organizational program that could help us track tasks in the stage of completion, or to leave announcements for the other staff and owner.
This software should have the ability to quickly leave notes and track tasks using buttons instead of having to type everything out.
Task management is important to us and many other small businesses and there are not many programs that offer a solution to suite our specific needs. Because our staff is not there every day of the week, things can happen and no one is on the same page. Having a way to leave a paper trail for the next person to work the desk would keep us all in tune with what is going on.
We use a Excel document that I designed using macros to leave messages, track a task from pending to completion and added buttons for employee names, how a message or information was received and for common messages we receive all the time. It works like a call log.
