Startup Idea: Apartment Management Software for Tracking Vacant Unit Turns

Summary for idea #399
Startup idea to develop a digital system to replace the conventional 'makeready board' often used in apartment complexes. The software should be able to track the status of vacant units, from trashed out, painted, cleaned, to flooring work. It should also facilitate note-taking for appliance requirement and lock changes, and inspection tracking. It must also be capable of generating reports for individual or all units.

I manage an apartment complex. Most complexes use something called a makeready board to track their vacant unit turns. I hate the board and would much rather track one on a computer where everyone could access it.

The only software like this n that exists is really expensive annually. I would pay a reasonable price for this software. It would allow me track whether a unit has been trashed out, painted, cleaned, had anything done to the flooring.

It would allow me to notate if appliances were needed or any notes on the unit. If the locks had been changed and if it had been inspected. It would need to have the ability to run a report on a particular unit to give a maintenance man or to run a comprehensive report showing the status of all make ready units.

I've looked at Make ready software, apartment turn software, make ready board online.
