Startup Idea: Cloud-Based Ancestry Database and Management Application

Startup idea to develop a private cloud-based database for organizing and managing personal ancestry data. Features would include links to records, error tracking, timelines, tree views, a book assistant, and mobile accessibility for uploading pictures and updating data on-the-go.

I have been doing ancestry for the last 5 years and during that time have not found a way do organize the data in a stream;ined fasion. A cloud based database that links records with individuals and tracks mistakes in the original documents.

Think personal Ancestry.com via a private cloud and mobile acces via an app. Various features would include timelines, trees, linking to records and ultimately a book building assistant feature.

Pictures could be uploaded to the cloud via a smart phone through the app and family data could be updated as well. For instance you visit a cemetary and take a photo of an ancestors grave that can now be loaded through the app directly to your cloud. Then you notice the headstone actually has information on it that you didn't know and you can update the info as well.
